With 24 years of dedicated service in law enforcement, I have built a career
rooted in public safety, accountability, and community service. I began my career
as a Correctional Officer and later served as a Bailiff with the Dickson County
Sheriff’s Office. In 2008, I transitioned into municipal policing as a Police Officer
for the City of Dickson, an experience that ultimately prepared me for my role as a
Tennessee State Trooper.
Upon graduating from cadet school, I was assigned to Williamson County, where I
served on road patrol before being selected for Governor Bill Haslam’s security
detail at the Tennessee State Capitol. In 2018, I continued to advance my career
by joining the Ignition Interlock Unit, where I remain committed to strengthening
roadway safety across the state.
During my tenure with the Ignition Interlock Unit, I have arrested numerous
offenders for violations of ignition interlock laws and developed more than 300
ignition interlock–related cases, assigning them to troopers statewide. My work
also includes conducting research and providing written analysis on proposed
legislation, assessing its potential impact on public safety and departmental
operations. In addition, I have delivered extensive instruction to judges, clerks,
attorneys, and law enforcement officers to enhance statewide understanding and
enforcement of ignition interlock laws.
