Russell Thomas is the Director of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Tennessee law school and began his career in public service as an assistant district attorney general in the 20th Judicial District (Davidson County). Prior to his 2019 appointment to the TABC, he managed a private law firm in Nashville. Over the course of his career, he has appeared before more than 90 judges across 20 counties and participated in over 100 trials.
