Stacey Pecenka is a dedicated public health professional with a Master of Public Health in Public Health Practice from the University of South Florida and over a decade of experience in public health, healthcare operations, and quality assurance. She is currently the Trauma Injury Prevention Program Manager at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, where she leads a team in designing, implementing, and evaluating impactful injury prevention programs to reduce pediatric injuries across Middle Tennessee.
In her current role, Stacey combines her expertise in data analysis, program development, and community engagement to create innovative and evidence-based initiatives that address trauma prevention. She also serves as a liaison on national coalitions and boards, working to advance the science of injury prevention and foster collaboration among healthcare organizations. Stacey’s leadership extends to managing budgets, grant applications, and regulatory compliance, ensuring her programs are well-supported and aligned with institutional standards.
Prior to her current position, Stacey held several leadership roles at Mayo Clinic. During her tenure, she managed multidisciplinary support teams, spearheaded large-scale events and improvement projects, and coordinated complex clinical research studies, including COVID-19 drug trials during the pandemic. Her ability to effectively manage teams, streamline processes, and ensure regulatory compliance has been a hallmark of her career.
With a Graduate Certificate in Epidemiology of Infectious Disease and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management, Stacey brings a well-rounded perspective to her work. She is passionate about leveraging her skills in program management, research, and public health education to make a meaningful impact on community health and safety.
When Stacey isn’t championing injury prevention initiatives, she enjoys collaborating with spending time with her two children, listening to live music, playing recreational sports, and traveling.
